Dr Notto Thelle

Biography:

Notto J W Thelle is the current director of Notam – Norwegian Center for Technology in Music and the Arts. He has overseen the construction of Notam’s new 24-channel studio for 3D sound, and will continue to supervise a long-term research and development project aiming at making 3D sound a more commonly shared resource across genres and art disciplines. Another goal is lowering the threshold for new users while maintaining a top-notch system for advanced composers and programmers.

Thelle holds a master's degree in musicology with music technology and cognition as his main field of research. He has a background as a musician based in Norway and the UK. Apart from Notam, Thelle is also the board chairman of PNEK – Production Network for Electronic Art.
